Delivering high quality composite design and manufacturing solutions of parts and structures for over 20 years.
Imagine it.
Composite Components have worked with companies, government departments, product engineers, aeronautical engineers, and customers from various industries nationwide.
We work with you to imagine better ways to deliver results that will meet and perhaps exceed your expectations whether it be lighter, stronger, stiffer, or more corrosion-resistant
Design it.
With our skills in composite manufacturing, design, and structural analysis programs, we design parts for peak performance in-house. You provide the details of your needs, we find the solution in composites.
Through the utilisation of 3D Computer modelling, 3D FDM printing, CAM (CNC machining), FEA technologies, and advanced composite manufacturing methodologies we have designed components for land, sea, and air-based applications all over the world.
Advanced composites can be engineered to suit most any industry and any application. This is due to the incredible number of possible combinations of resins, reinforcements and manufacturing methods that exist. Because of this customization, its entirely possible that the specific laminate configuration under consideration has never been utilized before.
Build it.
We are a leading Australian manufacturer of all things composites. With a comprehensive suite of plant and equipment, we build tooling, moulds, and parts, and assemble the finished product as needed.
Every proposed component is thoroughly assessed for the ideal method of construction based on the product performance requirements, client’s requirements, weight, budget, and project application. We utilise advanced technical fabrics such as carbon, Kevlar, and glass fibres and manufacturing procedures such as compression moulding, RTM (resin transfer moulding) oven cured pre-impregnated (prepreg) laminating and vacuum infusion.
Our goal is to provide exceptional precision, using the best materials for the job to ensure the high performance of every part, every time.
Our passion for cost-effective, superior engineering specification and problem-solving, means that we are also passionate about testing. How else can you know that your part is not needlessly overweight (and therefore have needless material costs) or up to your custom performance requirements?
Compared to traditional structural materials, composites can offer greatly enhanced performance and flexibility. However, these benefits come at the cost of increased material complexity. Many composite materials are anisotropic (meaning the mechanical properties depend on direction) and inhomogeneous (meaning the material composition is not uniform). For critical composite applications, tests are often needed to determine the material’s durability under service conditions, in representative environments, strength and durability, as well as determining whether they're fit for their intended purpose.
Composite testing ensures that the parts constructed are able to meet systems specifications without adding unnecessary materials, making them worth the time and budget that goes into the design and fabrication.
Test it.
“Composite Components provided an excellent initial design in a very short timeframe with absolutely minimal oversight. Composite Components manufactured items have been of outstanding quality and I am totally satisfied with the product.”
